West Coast Whisky Trail
A 4-day break taking in nine distilleries on two islands.
You will sail or fly to the Hebridean island of Islay for a fascinating trip which will take you to every corner of this beautiful island and it’s near neighbour Jura.
On Islay you have four very different hotels to chose from – perhaps you will spend some time in each.
The Harbour Inn or Bowmore Cottages at Bowmore are ideally suited to explore Bowmore, Laphraoig, Lagavullin and Ardbeg distilleries.
The Victorian Port Charlotte Hotel offers easy access to Bruichladdich, Kilchoman, Bunnahabhain and Caol Isla Distilleries.
The Machrie Hotel has a golf course, and is the ideal start or end point when visiting any of the distilleries on the island and is no more than 35 minutes by car from any of them! The hotel is close to the island’s airport and Port Ellen ferry terminal, for your departure the following day.
Total approximate cost per person, based on 2 people sharing for all elements of the trip: £320 including Bed and breakfast, 4 distillery tours and ferry crossing to Islay (reduce price to £280 if staying at the Bowmore Cottages (self catering).
